What does the camera actually see? (And how do we make our photos look so good??)

Updated: Apr 22, 2022

Well, we're glad you asked!

What we see is very different to what a camera can capture, that’s why we take multiple exposures to get all the elements and detail of a space.

Our eye can see the full range of lighting and colours in a room in one glance but a camera sometimes needs extra exposures to see it all.

Sometimes when you see the images on the back of the camera you might think; these colours are horrible, the lighting is so much different or that image doesn’t capture all the detail at all!

Fear not, we make sure we get all the relevant exposures to show your property off in the best way possible.

Have a look at the images below. These are straight out of the camera and no, they don’t look great! That’s why our editing process is so important in getting a beautiful final product.

Our editing team carefully blend the exposures together getting the detail in the window and merging it with the lighter exposure of the inside. Along with balancing the colour and adding in some contrast it comes out like the beautiful image below.

If you have any questions about our edit process, what is possible or about any of our other products please feel free to give us a call, we love a chat! 😊
