This is HeyGen, a web-based AI Spokesperson Video Creator. It takes a still image of a person and animates it to speech that you record on your phone, computer or directly into their website meaning you can make a video without having to book a videographer, memorise a script and deal with any on-camera nerves. All you need is a good photo of yourself to upload which you should already have; your profile photo!

But that’s only the beginning, HeyGen has a massive library of already created customisable templates & assets for you to use. You can also upload images of market stats, your own videos, record your screen to be used in the video, customise the text and change the colours to match your branding.
What are the limitations? HeyGen is free but only allows you to create 1 minute of video every day. You can of course upgrade this by paying a subscription.
My top tips for getting the best out of this app:
- Use a professionally shot & edited photo with a natural expression or smile.
- Use a photo that has no background or has been deep-etched.
- Use your wired headphones to record your audio. The headphones that come with your iPhone have a great quality microphone
- Don’t record your audio in a big empty room with hard floors & walls or in a noisy office. A carpeted room or even a walk-in closet are great for good audio.
- Don’t forget about their uploads section that allows you to use your own images & video. Great to add your own stats, graphs, property videos, etc.
- Click “Edit as New” on your previous videos so you don’t have to start from scratch or a template each time
Creating a video using this app is ridiculously easy and you can keep the customisation simple or go all out. No matter how far you want to go with it, HeyGen is very intuitive and won’t take long to get the hang of.
