What do you love taking photos of apart from Real Estate?

With experience in content creation for small businesses, I really enjoy taking photos of people/employees working in their environment. Some of them are staged, such as smiling and looking directly at the camera, but I enjoy the more candid, natural moments.

What do you love most about the hills?

Spring transforms the hills into a luscious, green wonderland of rolling hills, noisy sheep, and stunning views. Going for a hike in Djidi-Djidi Ridge and climbing to the top and looking out upon a peaceful valley in the sunshine is a special experience. I also love the hidden wineries that are scattered throughout the hills.

What is your favorite type of property to shoot?

I find the cute cottage homes that have a bit of history on a nice sized piece of land are always a pleasure to shoot as they really give that homely and cozy vibe. I’m also fascinated by the larger more modern homes that may feature that hobby-farm, self-sufficient style of living. I can’t explain it and I know it's strange, but seeing happy cows in a paddock makes me happy.

What little things make the biggest difference for you when shooting a home?

The obvious one for me is the tidiness of the house and property. If everything is clean, has its spot and presented nicely it makes shooting a breeze. Also the time of day, I really enjoy those special twilight shoots, the lighting creates a warm, welcoming and cozy vibe. Lastly, the architectural design of the building can create some really interesting and visually pleasing shots. A well designed home with a flowing layout makes a big difference when shooting it.
