What do you love taking photos of apart from Real Estate?
With my background as a former Principal Dancer with The Australian Ballet, I have a deep appreciation for movement and form. Capturing dance photography is both exhilarating and challenging—achieving the perfect balance and composition while working with a constantly moving subject requires a trained eye. Beyond that, my true passion lies in event and documentary photography, where I seek out those "moments between moments"—the unguarded, authentic expressions that tell a deeper story. There’s something magical about capturing people as they truly are, in an instant that might have otherwise gone unnoticed.
What is your favourite Perth suburb and why?
As a hills-based resident, I’m constantly amazed by the unexpected retreats hidden within the landscape. Some homes take you on a journey, starting with an understated entrance and then revealing something truly spectacular inside. I love the element of surprise—especially when it leads to an elevated vista that takes your breath away.
What is your favourite type of property to shoot?
I’m drawn to the timeless elegance of classic Federation-style homes just as much as the sleek, intentional lines of modern minimalist design. But what excites me most is a clever fusion of both—where heritage charm meets contemporary refinement. No matter the property’s style, my challenge is always the same: to find the perfect framing, lighting, and composition that evoke an emotional response from the viewer. Every home has a ‘sweet spot’—it’s just a matter of discovering it.
What is the weirdest thing you have encountered onsite?
Nothing too bizarre, but I’m always intrigued by the vast differences in how properties are prepared for photography. Some are styled to perfection, while others require a little creative problem-solving! The real challenge is making any home look its best, no matter the circumstances—whether it's poor weather, clutter, or unexpected obstacles. There’s a real sense of achievement when you walk away knowing you’ve created stunning images in less-than-ideal conditions. Those "against-the-odds" shoots are often the most rewarding!
